Godrej
& Boyce Mfg. Co Ltd launched a new Commercial Division on 1st
April, 2003 with 31 Showrooms under its ambit. The division was
established to present a new concept in Commercial by displaying and
selling under one roof the Godrej range of Home & Office Furniture,
Appliances, Security Equipment & Locks. Later in 2005, the Showrooms
were branded as “Godrej Lifespace Stores” to bring in a
proper focus, sales oriented approach & branding element into the
working of the division.
By
Jan 2007, the division has expanded the National footprint, by launching
14 new stores. Brand promotion, attractive consumer schemes and store
specific customer contact programs & events have helped enhance the
brand image and increase the sales within the stores. Initiatives like
catalogue kiosk and e-commerce portal have further opened up avenues for
consumer to do the shopping from within confines of their home & office
and have removed the barriers of touch-and-feel approach towards this
category.
Product portfolio has further expanded to include several other
lifestyle oriented products such as Health & Massage products, Digital
Cameras, Bed & Bath Linen, Bean Bags, etc, keeping in line with the
division’s vision of being a leading brand in Home & Office Improvement
segment.
Godrej Lifespace Stores today have an overwhelming Pan India presence
and enjoy strong brand identity coupled with very high brand recall. The
parent brand Godrej is recognized & trusted by millions of Indians for
over 100 years.
